KADIJA IN MALI (DIRECTOR’S CUT)
The 2012 invasion of northern Mali by rebel and Islamist groups displaced over 500 000 people, a majority of them women and children.
Funded by UN Women, this short video tells the story of 2 displaced women who give new direction to their lives. Khadija brews and sells hibiscus tea in Mopti market, while Aguechatou is a taylor who makes colorful women’s clothes.
